Early Bird Morgan

Early Bird Morgan, 89, of Zebulon, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at Transitions Hospice Care.  He was born in Nash County, a son of the late Wiley and Lurenda Earp Morgan.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Joe Morgan and his sisters, Effie Mullins, Ella Mae Johnson and Ethel Wier.

          Mr. Morgan worked with Mr. Jim Stone at the Sawmill and was also a great mechanic that could fix most any lawnmower.

          A graveside service will be held 11 am Saturday, August 28th at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tim Hopkins officiating.

          He is survived by his daughter Susan Gail Blaylock and husband Michael of Wendell; brother, Addies Morgan of Elm City; several nieces and nephews.
