DOUGLAS A. ESO

September 30, 1946 – June 14, 2026

Douglas Allen Eso, 79, of Franklinton, passed away Sunday evening, June 14th at the Durham VA Medical Center.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Eso and Patsy Freeman Eso; sister, Linda Eso and his brother, David Eso.

Doug was a proud veteran of the Army. He retired as an equipment operator.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janet Eso; daughters and son-in-law, Angela and Kelly Ware; Danah Johnson and fiancé, Michael Mullin; brother, Jake Eso; grandchildren, David Herring, Devin Herring, Briann Sweitzer and Thomas Johnson; 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 am on Saturday, June 20th in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory in Louisburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
