DEBRA C. DICKERSON

May 11, 1955 – April 26, 2026

Debra Crabtree Dickerson, 70, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday afternoon surrounded by her loved ones.

          Debbie was born in Texas, the third of seven children.  She loved her family and grew up caring for her younger siblings.  She found her calling later in life by being a wonderful caregiver to her mother, Irene. However, the job that she most enjoyed, was being a mother and grandmother.    

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Dickerson, father, Ray Crabtree, stepfather, Hank Horton, and great-granddaughter, Alaina Garnett, brothers in-law, David Weathersby, Robert Ayscue and Steve Wall.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm Thursday, April 30 at Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

          Debbie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Lisa Dickerson of Henderson; mother, Irene C. Horton; sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn Weathersby; Sandra Ayscue all of Louisburg; Rachel Wall of Youngsville; Bonnie and Danny Gay of Kenly; brothers, Daniel Crabtree of Goldsboro and Robert Crabtree of Louisburg; grandchildren, Brittany Velasquez, Jessica Thomas and Shannon Dickerson; 12 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Bandit.

          Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the family to assist with her service.
