DAVID CARLTON BATTON

April 30, 1955 – January 5, 2026

David Carlton Batton, 70, of Bunn, died Monday morning at WakeMed.

C.B. was the son of the late Bill and Dot Batton. He was born and raised in Bunn, North Carolina becoming an avid outdoorsman. He was a proud volunteer on the Bunn Rescue and the Bunn Fire Department.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Julie Averette Batton; daughter, Bailey Batton of Wake Forest; son, J.W. Batton of Bunn; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Judy Batton of Wake Forest; niece, Jennifer Jones; and nephew, Michael Jones.

A visitation will be held 6 – 7:30 PM Friday, January 9, 2026 at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 7413 Six Forks, Suite 255, Raleigh, NC 27615.
