February 26, 1936 – December 3, 2020

SIMS – Carl Daniel “Danny” Glover, 84, of Sims, passed away peacefully Thursday morning with his wife of 60 years by his side.

          He served in the U.S. Air Force and then worked for Sylvania for 16 years till the plant closed. He then worked for N.C. Department of Transportation for 25 years before retiring in 2007.

          He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Evelyn Boykin Glover; daughter, Teresa Glover Smith and husband, Willie; son, Carlton Glover and wife, Penny; grandchildren, Brittany Glover, Travis Glover and wife, Hannah.

          He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Bonnie Glover and sisters, Dixie Poteat and Diane Edge McKinney.

          Visitation will be at Nobles Chapel Baptist Church under COVID guidelines Monday 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. and then the graveside service following at 2 p.m. in the church cemetery.

          In lieu of flowers memorials are welcome to Nobles Chapel Baptist Church 7330 Old Raleigh Rd., Sims, NC 27880.
