CHARLES DAVIT PHELAN, JR.

Charles Davit Phelan, Jr., 76, of Louisburg, passed away on Sunday evening at his home.

Charles was the son of the late Charles Davit Phelan and Marie DeBella Phelan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Whitley Phelan.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Youngsville.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Phelan of Fayetteville; sons Robert Phelan (Shannon) of Clayton, and Andrew Phelan (Ryan) of Fayetteville; step-children Tara Carson (Nick), and Tiffany Hofeling (Berry); brother James Phelan (Susan); former spouse, Elizabeth Gurney; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
