Catherine, a loving mother, homemaker, and farmers wife, was a remarkable cook and caretaker. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family, friends, and farmworkers. She loved all and everyone was her “favorite.” Catherine helped with farm operations and managed the “Corner Store” with her husband, T.O.

Catherine was passionate about her family, community and church, Cedar Rock First Baptist Church. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren kept her young in spirit. She cherished the love and spiritual care she received from Pastor Nathanial Williams.

Her daughter, Linda, lovingly cared for her during the last six years of her life. She also received assistance from her caregivers, Felicia and Clara, during this time. The family is grateful for all who cared for Mother. Please accept our heartfelt love and warmest gratitude. A special thanks to Nash Hospice for the comfort and care they provided.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25th at Cedar Rock First Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
