Billie Mae Bobbitt, 81, of the Coventry House, Zebulon, went home to be with the Lord Friday at Wake Med. Billie Mae was born in Nash County, the daughter of the late Willard and Dollie Cone Womble. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Wayne Bobbitt.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, April 20th at East Wake Church of God with Pastor Tim Hopkins officiating. Burial to follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon. The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 12:45 – 1:45 at the church, other times at the home of Don and Alice Faye Brown, 1101 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon.
Billie Mae Grew up in the Samaria community, and attended Ferrells School and Middlesex High school. She retired from Devil Dog factories. Billie Mae was always one to greet you with a smile.
Billie Mae is survived by her sister and brother-in -law, Alice Faye and Don Brown of Zebulon; nieces, Tammy Brown of Wake Forest and Renee Peterson of Texas; nephews, Michael Brown and wife Eva of La Grange, Phil Brown and wife Stephanie of Zebulon and Richard Brown of Raleigh; numerous cousins.
