BEULAH E. PHELPS

HENDERSON – Beulah Edens Phelps, 97, died Saturday evening, Aug. 20, 2022.

Mrs. Phelps was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Edens, and Ora Lee Hight Edens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie M. Phelps, Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Sis Phelps. She worked 44 years for J.C. Penny in Henderson.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Linwood Jarrell officiating.
 

Mrs. Phelps is survived by her sons, Charlie M. Phelps, Jr. (Glennie) of Creedmoor, Clarence Phelps of Henderson, and Dennis Phelps (Jackie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Gene Edens, Jr. of Stafford, VA; 3 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 946 W Andrews Ave Suite S, Henderson, NC 27536.

The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg, and other times at the home, 2012 Raleigh Road, Henderson. www.stricklandfuneralhome.net
