BETTY JEAN GORDY
January 13, 1940 – November 19, 2022
WARRENTON - Betty Jean Wiggs Gordy, 82, of Warrenton, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at her home. Betty was the daughter of the late William and Dunnie Frances Wiggs.
Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Mandoza; brothers, Bobby Earl Wiggs, Milton Wiggs, and Billy Wiggs; and sisters, Margie and Cynthia Hatcher.
Betty is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Gordy; daughter, Viki Lee Jeffords (Darryl) of Raleigh; grandson, Dylan Robert Jeffords; brothers, Jesse Ray Wiggs and Michael Wiggs (Jean) of Dover, NC; and sister, Kay Mannings of Trinity, NC.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022 at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
