BERTHA S. MOORE

November 6, 1931 – December 15, 2022

LOUISBURG – Bertha Shearin Phelps Moore, 91, of Louisburg, died Thursday evening.

Bertha was a daughter of the late Johnnie Earl and Viola Pearce Shearin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie P. Moore; grandson, Timmy Phelps; sister, Ruth S. Parrish; brothers, Hubert Shearin, Roger Shearin and Wilson Shearin.

Bertha was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and retired from the Franklin County School System.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the service.

Bertha is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Mary Helen Phelps; Charles Phelps; grandchildren, Taylor Phelps, Angel Collie and Heather Wrenn; 4 great grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to especially thank Pat Nelms and Ann Denton for the loving care and support they gave to Bertha.
