BARBARA W. PEACE

May 31, 1942 - January 11, 2025

Barbara Wheeler Peace, 82, of Franklinton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning.

Barbara was a daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Inez D. Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell T. Peace; sister, Lillian W. Parrish; brothers, Samuel M. Wheeler and W. Milton Wheeler. She worked many years until her retirement at Murdoch Center.

Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Frankie Gilliam; sister, Joan Watson; grandson, Blake Pace and his wife, Lauren.       

A funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 351 T Kemp Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
