BARBARA D. WRIGHT

January 29, 1939 – March 7, 2021

ZEBULON – Barbara Ann Denton Wright, 82, of Zebulon, passed into the arms of Jesus on March 7, 2021 after several months of declining health. She was born on January 29, 1939 to Madie Glen Medlin and Henry Kearney Denton and married to Julius Wright for 64 years. Barbara was predeceased in death by her parents and husband. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Julia Ann Baker, brothers, Cotton, George and Dale Denton and sisters, Mavis Denton, Pauline Jeans and Kathleen Pippin.

          Barbara was known for her generosity and kindness and everyone who knew her knew she loved to fish. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

          A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pearce Baptist Church Cemetery.

          Barbara is survived by her son, Craig Wright (Betty) and daughter, Kathy Hamlin (Carl); grandchildren, Chad (Missy) and Justin Wright, Ashley Hayes (Bradley), Benjamin Baker, Jennifer Pearce (David), great-grandchildren, Lillian, Bennett Baker, Juliet and Jenevieve Pearce and Michael Hayes. Barbara Ann is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Driver.
