Anne Glosson Johnson

Anne G. Johnson, 93, of Wendell went home to be with the Lord Wednesday night surrounded by her family. She loved her family with all her heart and was willing to help anyone. Anne was a faithful member of Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church where she served for many years. She was proud to have been raised on a dairy farm in Chatham County with her brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Marion Johnson, son, Andy Johnson, grandson, Cameron Strickland, siblings, Tommy and Bobby Glosson and Lib Thomas, special cousin, Hilda McBane.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Terry Wood (Ricky); grandchildren; Drew Johnson (Melanie), Laura Davis (Blake), Kim Jeffreys (Jamie) and Chris Wood;  great-grandchildren; A.J. Johnson, Leah Johnson, Braden Davis, Leeam Davis, Cameron Wood, Landon Jeffreys and Brystol Wood; brother, Johnny Glosson (Pat) sisters-in-law, Hilda Glosson, Phyllis Young (Fred) and Dot Riggins; many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends prior to the service 9:30 – 10:45 am at the church and other time the home of Terry and Ricky Wood.
