AMIE LAURIE WRENN
November 25, 1972 – January 6, 2026
Amie Laurie Wrenn, 53, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully at her home on January 6, 2026. She fought a long and courageous battle with ALS and was surrounded by close family and friends at the time of her passing.
A 1991 graduate of Bunn High School, Amie went on to earn her nursing degree from East Carolina University, answering a lifelong calling to care for others. As a devoted registered nurse, she dedicated her career to serving geriatric patients, providing not only skilled medical care, but also compassion, dignity, and genuine love. Her patients and their families knew her as someone who treated everyone as family.
Amie lived her life with a pure heart. She was genuine, kind, and unfailingly saw the good in everyone she met. Her beautiful smile could light up a room, and her warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She possessed a strong and unwavering faith, which guided her through life and sustained her through her illness.
As a beloved mother, sister, and daughter, she deeply loved her family and treasured time spent with them. She was a constant source of love, strength, and encouragement. She also enjoyed sports and music, passions that brought her joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Callie Eatman and her son, Jonathan Eatman (Ronnie); her mother, Sandra Wheless Wrenn and her father, Gerald Wrenn; her twin sister, Susan Wrenn Callahan; her sister Cassie Wrenn Patterson (William); her brother Mark Wrenn (Kim); and many nieces and nephews. Amie was preceded in death by her brother, Chris Wrenn, Sr. and her grandparents, Cleveland and Pattie Wrenn and Bob and Laurie Wheless.
A reception will be held 6 to 8 pm on Friday, January 9 at the home of Cassie and William Patterson, 811 Alford Mill Rd. Bunn. Please dress casually. A private graveside service will be held at Rock Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
