ALTON LEE PARRISH

July 4, 1951 – December 10, 2024

LOUISBURG – Alton Lee Parrish, 73, of Louisburg, died Tuesday evening at Duke Hospital in Durham.

Alton was the son of the late Alton Brooks Parrish and Lena Harper Parrish. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Linda Batton Parrish; and grandson, Jonathan Tanner.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, at Strickland Funeral Home from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, at 1:00 PM in the Pernell Family Cemetery.

Alton is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Brooks and Tammy Parrish, and Tim and Anne Edwards; grandchildren Meredith (Taylor) Blake, and Taylor (Jordan) Whitman; great grandchildren, Katie Tanner, Hudson Blake, Easton Blake, Jaxson Blake, and Satine Whitman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ricky and Joan Batton.
