LOUISBURG – Alex Davis “Peely” Edwards, 74, of Louisburg, died early Tuesday morning at his home.

Peely was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur P. and Rachel G. Edwards.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Peely is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Susan Edwards of Youngsville; many nieces and nephews, and a long-time friend, Kitty Elliot.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Centerville Baptist Church, 2370 Leonard Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
