ROGER RANDOLPH BARTHOLOMEW

July 5, 1927 – November 3, 2019

LOUISBURG – Roger Randolph Bartholomew, 92, of Louisburg, formerly of Castalia, died Sunday morning.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy K. Bartholomew; wife, Bette Bartholomew; parents, Emmitt Sidney Bartholomew and Hallie Kittrell Bartholomew; sisters, Lois Ann Bartholomew; Lucy Bartholomew Howell and Julia Bartholomew Bryson; brothers, Emmitt Sidney Bartholomew, Jr. and Julian Clements Bartholomew.

He was a member of Castalia Baptist Church. He was a member of the Castalia Volunteer Fire Department for fifty years. He was a retired farmer and owner of Bartholomew’s Store. He was an avid golfer.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Castalia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Vicky B. Nelms; grandchildren, Troy S. Nelms, Jr. (Jill); Stacey B. Wise (Michael); Randy "Bart" K. Bartholomew II; great-grandchildren, Brock Nelms, Garrett Nelms, Hannah Browning and Caroline Browning.
