August 29, 1921 – December 9, 2017

 

LOUISBURG – Malcolm “Mack” Edwin Wrenn, Sr., 96, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning at his home.

Mack was a son of the late Eugene Cleveland Wrenn and Minnie Woodlief Wrenn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine A. Wrenn, son, Eddie Wrenn, grandson, Mark Gilliam, sisters, Eunice W. Spencer, Gladys W. Watkins, Ella W. Bailey, Lona W. Ayscue, Myrtle C. Wrenn, Dorothy "Dot" W. Clay and Mildred W. Smith, his brothers, George R. Wrenn and James C. Wrenn.

Mack was a World War II Army veteran . He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and he owned and operated Wrenn’s Body Shop since 1946.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mack is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Deborah W. and Joe Joyner; Pamela W. Gilliam all of Louisburg;  sons, M. Keith Wrenn of Louisburg and Warren R. Wrenn of Kill Devil Hills; daughter-in-law, Kay H. Wrenn of Louisburg; sisters, Jean W. Johnson of Louisburg, Lillian W. Pennisi of Raleigh; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews .

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
