LOUISBURG – Madgie Bottoms Cooper, 92, of Louisburg, died Wednesday morning at her home.

Madgie was a daughter of the late Thurston and Estelle B. Bottoms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Cooper; sister, JoNell B. Horton; brothers, Jack Bottoms and James “Mann” Bottoms.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Madgie is survived by her nieces, Kelly May (Stuart); Johnette Ginn (Billy);  Jamie Richardson (Jess); nephews, Russell Bottoms (Amber) all of Louisburg; Bennie Horton of Roanoke, VA; several great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Vickie Bottoms of Louisburg.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
