KENNY “RIP’ DRIVER
October 17, 1965 – July 14, 2019
Kenneth “Rip” Lee Driver, 53, of Louisburg, died early Sunday morning at his home. He was born in New Hanover County, a son of the late Elbert Harris Driver and Virginia Dare Curtis Driver. Kenny was a project manager in the Insulation Construction Industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Danelle D. Hicks and brother-in-law, Travis Gupton.
A funeral service will be held 3 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel Louisburg with Reverend Jason Havens officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Danette Barnett; son, Rex Barnett; brothers, Ricky Driver and wife Amy of Benson, Gary Driver and fiancé Angel Boyd of Zebulon; mother and father-in-law’s, Gladys and Johnny Aycock, Dan and Elaine Denton of Louisburg; brother-in-law’s, Scott Hicks, Bobby Aycock, Neil Allen and Rodney Allen; uncle, David Driver and wife, Judy of Zebulon; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:45 – 2:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home.
