June 18, 1974 – April 19, 2019

WAKE FOREST – Kelly Dickens Myrick, 44, passed away Friday evening  at Rex Hospital, with her family by her side. She graduated from Friendship Christian School in 1992 and attended Peace College 1992-1994 and East Carolina University 1994 - 1996.  She loved the Lord Jesus and was strong in her faith.  She was a compassionate, loving and generous person with a bubbly personality and full of life!  Always lived a life focused on others.  She was happiest when she was with her husband and family.  Her love of life and Jesus were contagious.  She and Trent were married on November 23, 1996.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Friday at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, Louisburg.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Trent Myrick of Wake Forest; parents, Charlie and Shelby Dickens of Raleigh; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie Dickens, III and wife, Beth of Raleigh; father and mother-in-law, Roland and Donna Myrick of Wake Forest; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Chrystal and Frank Edwards of Wake Forest; nieces and nephews, Georgia and Makenzie Dickens, Alena, Aiden, and Aniyah Edwards.

The family will receive friends Friday 1:15 – 2:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers Trent suggest donations be made in memory of Kelly to your local no kill animal shelter.
