JULIUS WRIGHT, JR.
July 9, 1929 – October 31, 2018
ZEBULON – Julius Wright, Jr., 89, of Zebulon, a loving husband, father and grandfather went to his heavenly home on Wednesday evening.
He was born July 9, 1929 to Julius and Stancy Perry Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Wright and sister, Joyce Richards.
Mr. Wright served his country in the Army and was employed as a manager of a Colonial Stores/ Big Star Grocery in Raleigh for many years and then went to work for N.C.D.O.T. in Bunn where he retired. He was a long time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.
A visitation for family and friends will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the Pearce Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Barbara Ann Denton Wright; son, Craig Wright (Betty Lou); daughters Julia Ann Baker, Kathy Hamlin (Carl); grandchildren, Chad and Justin Wright, Benjamin Baker, Jennifer Pearce (David) and Ashley Hayes (Bradley); great-grandchildren, Lillian and Bennett Baker, Juliet and Jenevieve Pearce and Michael Hayes. He is also survived by his brother, Alvin Wright.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1581 Bethlehem Church Rd. Youngsville, NC 27596.
