JUDY D. DICKERSON

June 3, 1947 - May 4, 2018

LOUISBURG – Judy D. Dickerson, 70, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully Friday at her home.

          Judy was a daughter of the late Percy C. and Aileen M. Dickerson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colin Overton and her brother, Jerry Vann Dickerson.

          Judy was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She retired after 30 years of service from Westinghouse. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

          She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Bob Sanderlin of Louisburg; Ann and Freddy Wheeler of Franklinton; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Mary Dickerson of Louisburg; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

          Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park immediately following. 

          In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1529 Flat Rock Church Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549 or Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
