J. CHRISTOPHER HARPER
July 16, 1968 – May 21, 2019
PITTSBORO – Major John Christopher Harper, US Army Retired, 50, of Pittsboro, died Tuesday afternoon.
Chris graduated from Louisburg High School and Western Carolina University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He served in the US Army for 20 years and retired in 2012. Chris was preceded in death by his father, John Harper.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June, 1, 2019 at Louisburg Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Stacy Griffin Harper; son, Paul Harper of Knightdale; stepson, Grant McGlothlin (Taylor) of Zebulon; mother, Tina Harper, and sister, Reagan Harper, both of Louisburg; grandchildren, Grier and Bennett McGlothlin.
