C. EDWARD SHEARIN, JR.
August 9, 1955 – December 7, 2019
LOUISBURG – Carl Edward “Ed” Shearin, Jr., 64, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. Shearin, Sr. and Martha Denton Shearin.
Ed worked for WYRN Radio Station in Louisburg for 30 years and then went on to be the Program Director for Franklin County Keep America Beautiful until his retirement.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Ed is survived by his son, Nick Shearin and his fiancé, Cassie Hazel; brother, Jon Shearin; sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Edward Thompson; nieces and nephews, Jody (Corell) Pittman; Stephen (Sierra) Shearin; Brittini Thompson and Dusten Thompson; great nieces and nephews, Chandler Thompson, Avie Pittman, Shayla Shearin, Braden Shearin and Madison Shearin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Piney Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Donna Ball, 352 Moulton Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549 or to Wood Baptist Church, 649 Wood Church Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
