Sylvia Whisenant Moore, 77, of Louisburg, NC, formerly of Louisiana died December 29, 2016 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Julius Coates Whisenant and Modell Miller Whisenant.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Walker Moore and a son, William Keith Moore.

A funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at The Rock Church, 20810 Plank Road., Zachary, LA 70791 with a visitation prior to the service 9:00 - 10:00 am.  A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at The Rock Church, 20810 Plank Road, Zachary, LA 70791.  Burial will be in Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary, LA.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Bill Harrison of Louisburg, NC and Karen and Stanley Redmond of Slaughter, LA; grandsons, Andrew Moore and Mark Redmond.
