RICHARD B. SHEARIN

December 2, 1923 – August 20, 2016

LOUISBURG – Richard Beron Shearin, 92, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning.

Richard was a son of the late William Lewis and Roberta Walker Shearin. He was preceded in death by his son, Beron Shearin; several sisters and brothers.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Rick and Susan Shearin, 1138 NC 561 Hwy., Louisburg.

Richard is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Allen Hairfield; daughter-in-law, Kaye R. Shearin; grandson, Rick Shearin and his wife, Susan; step- grandson, Ashley Hairfield and his wife, Stacy; great-granddaughter, Payton Shearin; step-great-granddaughter, Sonya “Buttons” Coats and husband, Kevin; step-great-grandchildren, Nathan, Noah and Abagail Hairfield; special niece, Alberta Ortman and a host of other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hickory Rock Baptist Church, 1580 Firetower Rd; Louisburg, NC 27549.
