REBECCA MANGUM BAKER

Jan. 11, 1928 – Jan. 26, 2017

YOUNGSVILLE – Rebecca Mangum Baker, 89, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday evening surrounded by her family.  She was born in Wake County a daughter of  the late, Lee Roy Mangum and Annie Belle Chalk Mangum.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Walter Baker and her daughter-in-law, E.J. Baker.

Mrs. Baker retired from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.

          Funeral service will be held 3 pm Monday, January 30, 2017 at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with visitation 1:45 – 2:45 in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

          Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Van Denton of Bunn; son, Donald Baker of Youngsville; sister, Doris Perry and husband A.R. of Raleigh; grandchildren, Patrick Denton (Amy) Aaron Denton (Ami), Justin Denton (Bethany), Brian Baker and Amanda Hirko (Eddie); great-grandchildren, Emma, Brooke, Abigail, Savannah, Noah, Laine, Remy and Breck Denton, Lily and Ethan Hirko.
