MARY K. HARMON

December 25, 1944 – August 3, 2016

LOUISBURG – Mary Kay Whetsell Harmon, 71, of Louisburg, died Wednesday night.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian B. Whetsell.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Louisburg United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jack L. Harmon; daughter and son-in-law, Desiree and Michael Shumsky of Wake Forest; father, Jake Whetsell; sister, Carol Allmond both of Newark, DE; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charles J. and Dr. Mary Whetsell of Irondale, AL; grandchildren, Hudson, Kelsey and Delaney Shumsky; nephews, William Allmond of Newark, Delware; Matthew Allmond and wife Julia Kegelman of Wilmington, Delware.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Louisburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 667, Louisburg, NC 27549.
