MABLE S. YOUNG

May 9, 1928 – Aug. 11, 2017

WENDELL – Mable Sanderford Young, 89, went home to be with the LORD Friday morning at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.  She was born in Wake County a daughter of the late Hillard Walter and Pearly Ida Florence Hicks Sanderford.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Colon Young; sons, Paul and Normey Medlin; son-in-law, Ricky Williams; grandson, Dennis Morgan; brothers, Robert, Roy, Tadpole, and Russell Sanderford and a sister, Sis Medlin.

          A funeral service will be held 4 pm Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Central Baptist Church Chapel with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 3:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday prior to the service at the church.

          She is survived by her children, Faye Alford (Glenn, Sr.), Linda Morgan (Charlie), Dannie Medlin (Janie) and Debbie Williams; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
