Lossie Galloway Denton

July 4, 1925 – March 12, 2016

          Mrs. Lossie Galloway Denton, 90, formerly of Robinwood in Wendell, died Saturday morning at Zebulon Rehabilitation after a period of declining health. Mrs. Denton was a lady who loved her family and her LORD.  Her strong faith helped carry her through some sorrowful times during her life, knowing that someday all life’s troubles would be over and she would she her LORD face to face.

          Mrs. Denton was a daughter of the late Frank and Nora Owens Galloway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Denton; sons, Richard Denton and Tim Denton; brothers, Marvin, James, Walter, William, and Melvin Galloway.

          A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon with Reverend Glen Brock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

          Mrs. Denton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sue Denton of Wendell; grandchildren, Ashley Denton and Brian Denton both of Raleigh; sisters, Louise Paul and husband, Henry of Fayetteville and Helen Riddick of Stantonsburg; special friend, Sandra Leonard and husband Dennis of Robinwood, Wendell.

          Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
