LINDY W. BALL

December 4, 1934 – November 9, 2017

LOUISBURG – Lindy Wright Ball, 82, of Louisburg, died Thursday morning at his home.

Lindy was a son of the late Joseph Kearney and Julia Mosley Ball, Sr. He was preceded in death by his infant-son, Charles Edward Ball; sisters, Novie Dupree and Julia Dickerson; brothers, Joe Ball, Walter Ball and Clyde Ball.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Lindy is survived by his wife, Martha “Gerrie” W. Ball; daughters and sons-in-law, Terry B. and Ronnie Wright of Franklinton; Sheila B. and Andy Currin of Wendell; brother, Alex Ball of Louisburg; grandson, Tony Wright and wife, Adrian; 3 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Debbie Smith and Bettie Richardson and Transitions Life Care Hospice for the wonderful care and attention given to Lindy and to all the family, friends and neighbors for the phone calls and visits to Lindy during his sickness.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 335 Moulton Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
