JACK EARL BURNETTE

April 14, 1927 – May 26, 2016

 

LOUISBURG  –  Jack Earl Burnette, 89, of the Sandy Creek Community, died Thursday May 26.     He was a son of the late Willie Cleveland Burnette and Minnie Allen Burnette, native of Franklin County.

     He was preceded in death by brothers, Bland Burnette and Allen Burnette and sisters, Nona B. Brewer and Lucille B. Gupton and daughter (niece) Kimberly B. Smith.

     A private family graveside service was held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Wilma Rae Collins Burnette; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela B. and Vincent Harris; grandchildren, Tommy Harris (Lauren), Amy Harris Swaney (Paul), Christy W. Lanham (Randy), and Jamey Smith; great-grandchildren, Adelyn Harris, Anna Harris, Benjamin Swaney and Christopher Lanham.

     In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations may be given to the Franklin County Animal Shelter or adopt a pet from there.
