January 24, 1947 – June 23, 2016

LOUISBURG – Donald Wayne Hicks, 69, of Louisburg, died Thursday morning at his home. 

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, L. P. Hicks.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Anna C. Hicks; daughters, Amy Eaves and husband, Tony of Henderson; Donette Hicks and wife, Joanna Sorbi of Alameda, CA; mother, Helen J. Hicks; sisters, Carol H. Edwards and husband, Tim all of Louisburg; Vicky H. Privette and husband, Rickey of Franklinton; grandchildren, Summer, Carleigh and Tyler; great-grandson, Gage.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hill King U.M.C., 1989 NC 39 Hwy. S., Louisburg, NC 27549.
