D. BRUCE WILLIS

October 3, 1945 – October 14, 2016

FRANKLINTON – Donald Bruce Willis, 71, of Franklinton, died Friday afternoon at his home.

          Bruce was a son of the late Henry and Florence T. Willis. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Willis. He was a founding member of Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church and was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bruce enjoyed being a ham radio operator in his spare time.

          A memorial mass will be held 2 p.m. Saturday October 29th at Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass.

          Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn L. Willis; daughters, Lisa Matzner of Bunn; Pamela (Will) Persinger of Wake Forest; Dawn (P-Nut) Shearin of Louisburg; Gail Willis of Franklinton; Korri (Ernest) Eason of Youngsville; brother, Henry (JoAnn) Willis of Loveland CO; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

          In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of the rosary Roman Catholic Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 593, Louisburg, NC 27549.
