DIANE B. STRICKLAND

July 2, 1946 – April 19, 2017

ZEBULON – Diane Brantley Strickland, 70, of Zebulon, passed away at home on Wednesday April 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was a daughter of the late Edward and Ethelene H. Brantley. She was preceded in death by her son, Corey Strickland.

Diane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and always put them first. She had a special bond with her grandchildren and they were everything to her.

Diane retired as a supervisor from Mortex in Wendell in July of 2013 after 25 years of service.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Union Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, J.D. Strickland; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Lisa Strickland of Spring Hope; sister, Phyllis O’Neal; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Becky Brantley; Jerry and Regina Brantley all of Zebulon; grandchildren, Ashley Strickland, Anna Strickland, and Brandon Liles; great-granddaughter, Skylar Liles.
