My husband and I have faced life’s challenges always with a can-do attitude – as we all do – but none as challenging as when we unexpectedly faced the impending loss of my brother, who was also my husband’s life-long best friend. Tom Clancy and his staff were there for us in every way one might possibly imagine wanting or needing. This was our first experience in losing such a close family member and one so dear to us for so long. We didn’t know much and certainly not all the nuances that come with these moments. Tom embraced us, made us feel less insecure about what we didn’t know, and guided us with grace and respect. He made sure we were comfortable with available options and the actions or decisions needed. When the time came, Tom was our rock.
If losing my brother wasn’t challenging enough, a short three months later, we were faced with our worst nightmare – the sudden news I would lose my husband in what would be less than four months. I again reached out to our rock, Tom Clancy. He and the staff blessed us with a kindness that words fail to describe. More than any other time, I needed Tom’s wisdom, guidance, and compassion. In the end he was there again, in every way needed, and I am eternally grateful.

I just want to express my sincere appreciation to Tom and all the staff for handling my husbands funeral arrangements with such dignity. From the time they arrived at the house to remove the body to present they have not let me down. Tom has gone the extra mile in helping me with my insurance claims to just a smile and a how are you in the most gently way possible. All my calls were promptly returned and all my questions were property addressed timely. I can't say enough about the service that Strickland's funeral home in Louisburg provides. Thank you so much for being there for me and my family.

This is long overdue, but simply put Tom Clancy and staff are the best.

Where do I begin....Compassion, professional, thoughtful, caring, detailed oriented. Strickland Funeral Home has conducted many of my family members funerals. Two were my moms and brothers 10 years ago, this week...my dads. When they came to pick up my fathers body, I asked the two gentleman would they ride him around his farm 2 times. Without hesitation the answer was, of course. After that the compassion continued. Thank you to the staff for how I wanted everything to go and your invaluable input along the way. So many said what a beautiful service and tribute it was and we are grateful for the dignity you showed our precious Sherman Dorsey. We are forever grateful for your staffs service.
